TESTIMONIALS

KLEVK Institute of Dental Sciences, Belgaum made me the person I’m today. It taught me not just dentistry, but gave me the best of my gurus, the best of my friends and the best of all, Memories.

I am extremely grateful to the entire team of this college. They not only have the best facilities but the staff who relentlessly works to attain the highest goals “Striving for nothing but the BEST”

After having passed out and seen a lot of other colleges ,I can proudly,as an alumni, say that the OMFS faculty of this institution is the most distinguished yet approachable, friendly , motivating and goal oriented one I’ve come across so far . Not just as an undergraduate, but as a Post Graduate, Irealized I received the best guidance, the tricks of the trade, and strategies all thanks to the superb faculty of the Department of Oral & Maxillofacial surgery.

I owe my life as a dentist, Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Implantologist to the blessings and guidance of all the wonderful teachers I had during my graduation and post-graduation days at the college.

I am grateful to have been a part of this magnanimous institution.

Dr. Nishant Gupta, Batch of 2006

I am very privileged and honoured to be writing this testimonial for my department- Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. Especially in the challenging field of oral and maxillofacial surgery, where you need to bridge the vast gap between dentistry and medicine and learn so many things in a short span of 3 years, you are only as good as the cases that your teachers and professors operate and in turn give you a chance to assist. I have to thank the vast knowledge and experience of the staff of the department, which boasts world renowned surgeons, we got a chance to assist and operate plethora of cases in maxillofacial surgery, from minor oral surgery to trauma, space infections, TMJ surgery, cleft lip and palate and orthognathic surgery. This is the sole reason why the oral surgery department in KLE is unparalled and dishes out year after year skilled surgeons from their post-graduate programme who end up holding good against world class surgeons in their time to come. I for one moved to Dubai 4 years back and have come in contact with surgeons from around the globe. Some unfortunately are still looking to assist their first cleft case or first LeFort fracture case. That’s the time I remember my training and feel fortunate.

Always grateful to my teachers.

Dr. Indraniil Roy, Batch of 2010

The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at KLE V. K. Institute of Dental Sciences is one of the leading maxillofacial units in the country. From the very basic but most important principles of surgery to modern Oral and maxillofacial surgery techniques we learned from our teachers in the department. The department is very well equipped with state of the art instruments, devices and latest gadgets. The administration, standard of care and workplace ethics are beyond comparison. Each and every patient is treated with utmost care and compassion. The faculty are well known and respected figures in Oral and Maxillofacial surgery who are eager to teach us not just the necessary clinical skills but also valuable ethics. The non-teaching staff of the department is extremely polite and help all the students overcome the language barriers. The library of the institute has a huge collection of books on all the subjects related to dental and medical sciences and also online access journals. The college has the most stunning campus with well-built sports facility centre for all students. It is an honour to be a part of this prestigious institute.

Thanks and regards,

Dr.Vikram Pandit, Batch of 2012

My OMFS journey that began at KLE, Belgaum has been a life- changingexperience. What began as ‘Surgical Army Training’ (That’s what I like to call it) soon turned out to be the most important learning experience of my life. Apart from Maxillofacial Surgery, these three years of Post-graduation have taught me important life lessons. The intense hospital and casualty postings are etched in my memory for good. I really have been fortunate to have received guidance from the most experienced teachers in the field of Maxillofacial Surgery. Their teachings inspired me to go a step further and specialize in Cleft and Craniofacial Surgery.

P.S- Here in the Department of OMFS at KLE, there are two schools of thought that really pushed me to strive and give my best shot—1. Best your basics & 2.Challenge your basics.

Will always remain indebted to this institute and all my teachers.

Dr. Niyati Satish Balse, Batch of 2014
