This is a research-oriented department that aims to keep in pace with changes and advancement in the field of oral sciences. This is through research projects undertaken by the faculty and postgraduates in thrust areas like Oral pre-cancer, cancer, saliva and forensic odontology, which has led to national and international acclaims. The department boasts of around 300 publications in the thrust areas.
