AWARDS & ACHIEVEMENTS
NATIONAL AWARDS TO STUDENTS OF KAHER’S KLE VK INSTITUTE OF DENTAL SCIENCES, BELAGAVI
A total of 5 scientific presentations were presented by the postgraduate students from the Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry of KLE VK Institute of Dental Sciences, KLE Academy of Higher Education and Research, Belagavi. 2 post graduate students Dr. Neha Kohli 3rd year Post graduate student and Dr. Sanika Karmarkar 2nd year Post graduate student won 2nd & 3rd Best Scientific paper awards for their scientific paper presentations respectively in the recently conducted 19th National Post graduate Convention Organized by Saveetha Dental College, Chennai, Tamil Nadu under the aegis of Indian Society of Pedodontics and Preventive Dentistry which was held on 24th and 25th February 2023.
Dr. Shivayogi M. Hugar, Prof and Head, Department of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry was invited as a National Key Note Guest Speaker and delivered a lecture on Intellectual Property Rights (IPR): A Provocation of ‘Intelligence’ to ‘Innovation’.
Staff members Dr Shivayogi M. Hugar, Dr.Chandrashekar Badakar, Dr. Niraj Gokhale, Dr.Vidyavathi H.Patil, Dr Shweta Kajjari and Dr.Chaitanya Uppin from the Dept of Pediatric and Preventive Dentistry had guided these students.
Dr Alka Kale, Principal of KLE VK IDS, Belagavi congratulated all the awardees and staff for guiding the students.
The staff and students have represented the Department at various curricular and co-curricular events at National & International events and have brought laurels to the Institute. The details from 2016-2020 are as follows:
